Andres Jimenez, M.D. is a Family Medicine physician and has been in practice for over 30 years. He has been based in San Pedro his whole career. “My greatest rewards as a family practitioner are caring for multigenerational families and the relationships I have formed with my patients over the years,” he says. “I have also enjoyed multiple leadership positions including Chief of Staff at San Pedro Peninsula Hospital (now Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, San Pedro), Vice President of Providence Medical Group (now Providence Medical Associates) and serving as a board member of Providence Medical Associates since its inception.”

A caring and compassionate physician, Dr. Jimenez was born in Havana, Cuba, and has lived in San Pedro since 1984. His roots in the community run deep: his wife taught advanced middle school math in San Pedro until retirement, and his two children attended grade school and middle school in San Pedro. “We are entrenched in the community and support various charitable organizations, especially the College Bound Program at the Harbor Area Boys and Girls Club,” says Dr. Jimenez. “The College Bound Program helps at-risk children with educational tutoring and counseling, from grade school to high school, with the goal of getting them admitted to a college or university.”

Dr. Jimenez completed his Family Practice Residency at San Pedro Peninsula Hospital after graduating from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. In his free time, Dr. Jimenez enjoys travel, playing tennis, all things tech, and spending time with his family and friends.
