Dr. Boozer grew up in Alabama, but struck westward after college and has made himself a long-term Portlander. He earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed residency at the Kadlec Family Medicine Residency program in Richland, WA.
Before medical school, Dr. Boozer earned a Masters of Public Health from Yale University and worked in clinical research for several years. These experiences taught him how to consider the minute details of a person’s health and lifestyle, while also considering the bigger picture of community and environment.
He strives to under-stand his patient’s values and beliefs so that they can achieve their best health through prevention and shared decision making. He is especially interested in pediatrics, behavioral health, and LGBTQ+ health.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Boozer enjoys reading, music, and exploring the Oregon coast with his four wonderful children.
