Dr. Farah Villanueva, D.O., is a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in adult and pediatric neurology. 

She grew up in the South Bay and obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at UCLA, Magna Cum Laude. She earned her medical degree at Midwestern University Chicago, College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, she completed her internship at Loma Linda University. She then completed her residency, fellowship, and one year of Neuro-Ophthalmology research at Harbor-UCLA, a Level 1 Trauma Hospital. 

Dr. Villanueva has published scientific papers and presented a poster at the American Academy of Neurology. She currently serves on the Neurology Specialty Advisory Group in Los Angeles, creating guidelines to improve quality, compassionate care throughout all Providence hospitals. 

Her professional interests include treating the following conditions: Migraines, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, ADHD, Stroke, Neuropathy, and Epilepsy. She performs multiple procedures, including Botox for migraines and spasticity, SPG blocks, and occipital nerve blocks. 

She participates in medical missions work and has an appreciation for culturally competent care. She believes in treating the whole person and seeks to understand her patients, not merely their disease processes. 

In her free time, Dr. Villanueva enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family. Other doctors describe her as a team player, creative, compassionate, and hardworking. Her patients describe her as thorough, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring.
