Jennifer Chu, M.D., is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and can be found at PMI Torrance OBGYN. She is also affiliated with Little Company of Mary – Torrance. 

Raised in Sacramento, California in a household with two sisters, Dr. Chu has always had a strong interest in women’s health. “I decided to become a doctor, and decided to go into OBGYN because while in medical school the first time I saw a baby being born I was in awe of the miracle of life and how strong and compassionate the patients were,” she says. “I Aim to educate my patient about their reproductive health through all phase of life, from menstruation to menopause.” 

Dr. Chu is very popular with her patients. They say they appreciate that she takes the time to listen and provides clear, easy to understand information. She is attentive, respectful and patient, no matter how busy the office is. No doubt this is why she has such stellar reviews. 

Dr. Chu earned her medical degree at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. She completed her internship and residency at the White Memorial Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. 

When not with patients, Dr. Chu enjoys learning about different cultures, and has traveled to more than 20 countries. Besides travel, she also enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, hiking with her husband, David, and spending time with daughters Isabelle and Madison, her dog, Thor, and her cat Mochi.
