Allison E. Arch M.D. is a board-certified general neurologist with Providence Medical Institute and is a Neurology Hospitalist at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, California. Her subspecialty is in vascular neurology, for which she is fellowship-trained.

Dr. Arch has known that she wanted to be a physician since she was five years old. “I love what I do. I like treating patients and getting to know them and their families on a personal level. It is gratifying to help people through their most vulnerable moments,” she says. “I am simply fascinated by the brain and how it works. In neurology, you can greatly improve someone’s quality of life by diagnosing what is wrong and then offering the appropriate treatment.”

Dr. Arch treats all types of neurologic conditions. She has specialty training in stroke neurology, but she also sees patients with seizures, headaches, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, brain aneurysm, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, and a host of other neurologic conditions. “I believe in treating each patient as a whole, including their physical and mental well-being. I like working together to figure out what life issues may be contributing to their neurologic condition and addressing them,” she says.

Dr. Arch earned her medical from Drexel University in Philadelphia, fulfilled her internship and neurology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, and completed fellowship training in vascular neurology at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

When not with patients, Dr. Arch enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, two children and dog, and almost any outdoor activity. “I love to travel, and I can’t wait until the pandemic eases up so we can start doing that again.”
