Angel George Angelow, M.D. is a board-certified family physician at PMI Urgent Care with over 30 years of experience in the medical field.

Born in Bulgaria, Dr. Angelow studied in Italy and completed his medical training in New York. He learned at an early age to communicate in five languages, including English, German, Bulgarian, Italian, and Russian. With his diverse experience, Dr. Angelow is usually the first point of contact for patients looking for general or primary medical care. As a family doctor, he enjoys providing complete health care for individuals and families.

“I believe the key to a successful outcome is good doctor-patient communication. I feel that it is crucial for me to be a careful listener and thoroughly discuss the patients’ medical problems in terms they can understand, then review the choices available to solve them,” he says. “I very much enjoy the continuity of providing personal care for the whole family in a warm and trusting environment.”

Dr. Angelow earned his medical degree at the University of Padua (also known as Universita Degli Studi Di Padova or Universita Degli Studi Di Padova Scuola Di Medicina E Chirurgia) in Italy. After completing medical training, Dr. Angelow moved to Jamaica, New York, where he interned at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. He spent time as a resident at the Stony Brook University Medical Center in Stony Brook, New York, and the North Shore University Hospital, as well as the Universita Degli Studi Di Padova Scuola Di Medicina E Chirurgia, and Community Hospital, all providing him with the diverse experience needed to provide excellent care to his patients.

When not working, Dr. Angelow enjoys travel, skiing, photography, computers, and books.
