Family Medicine
Hubert V. Sung, M.D., has loved science since childhood. Throughout his education, he excelled in science-related classes, including medical school. Dr. Sung became chief resident at the Summa Barberton Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Ohio, and he was awarded Resident of the Year at Manor Care Nursing Home. As a physician, Dr. Sung believes that preventive medicine is imperative to health care, and that proper education is the key to staying healthy. This philosophy is a part of how he cares for his patients. Dr. Sung continues to be involved in education within the medical profession. He has been a significant contributor with three published works over the last 10 years, and he often speaks at teaching conferences throughout the United States. Giving back to the community is very important to Dr. Sung, and sharing his medical expertise is one way he can help. He has participated in several medical relief missions in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. In his free time, Dr. Sung enjoys the outdoors, hiking and snowboarding with his family.
