About Jessica V. Ramirez, MD

Jessica Ramirez, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician specialist from Orange County, California. After attending the University of Southern California, Dr. Ramirez decided to pursue the field of pediatrics. “I love the relationships I can develop with my patients from birth to young adulthood, as well as their families,” she says.

If asked about her medical philosophy, she would explain, “I believe a person’s well-being depends upon the development of healthy lifestyles, beginning in the earliest stages of life, and focusing on early intervention. I relish the opportunity to become involved in a child’s growth and development, guiding children and their families throughout childhood, adolescence, and beyond.”

Her patients echo that sentiment and the importance of their relationship, saying she is very friendly, kind, attentive, and extremely detail-oriented. She is professional, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond in all elements of patient and family care. They feel that she is genuinely concerned about the well-being of their children. “I trust her. She treats my son the same way she would treat her own child,” one patient said. Another patient said, “She is a good listener and answers all my questions in a way that is easy for me to understand.”

Dr. Ramirez, fluent in Spanish and English, earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College at the Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her internship and residency at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She furthered her medical education in New Zealand working in a children’s hospital, studying pediatric endocrinology and the prevalence of adolescent obesity. Dr. Ramirez has also researched cardiology, pediatric disaster preparedness, pediatric infectious diseases, and adolescent psychology. You can now find her at Providence Pediatrics in Redondo Beach and PMI Wateridge Primary and Specialty Care in Los Angeles.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ramirez loves to travel, read, stay active, go to the beach, and spend quality time with her husband and two sons.
