Pediatrics
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Pitchaya Pam Chitamitara, M.D. moved to Thailand as an adolescent, and her experiences there taught her to keep an open mind and gave her an appreciation for the diversity of life experiences. She returned to California to attend college and after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, she once again moved away to New York City, where she received her medical training. While she often misses many aspects of New York, she is thrilled to be back in sunny Southern California.
Dr. Chitamitara’s interest in pediatric medicine started at a very young age. She believes in bringing a personal approach to each child, with his or her unique characteristics. She says she learns something from every one of her patients, and “children keep you on your toes, are amazingly resilient, and keep things interesting.” She has had the privilege of caring for children for the last 10 years, and looks forward to caring for your children the way she would her own. She is Board-certified in Pediatrics.
Dr. Chitamitara resides in the South Bay with her family. When not “doctoring” she enjoys reading, cooking and trying new foods, traveling and parenting her 2 spirited daughters.
