About Tahira M. Stewart, MD

Born and bred in Santa Monica, California, Dr. Stewart was motivated from childhood by an interest in medicine. Her toys even included thermometers and stethoscopes! She wanted to make “sick people” well, and as she matured that desire matured. After receiving her BS degree at UCLA, she attended Howard University College of Medicine (Washington, D.C.) for her medical degree; after obtaining her Doctorate of Medicine, she returned to California to fulfill her internship and residency requisites in Family Medicine at UCLA. She has since been providing quality primary care to patients. Her stints as physician in facilities with various economically diverse patient populations gave her opportunities both to enhance her primary care skills and serve all strata of populations. Her objective continues to be providing patients with the most effective, up-to date preventative and comprehensive medical care to promote wellness and longevity.
