Providence tentatively reaches new agreement with Blue Shield of California

We are pleased to announce that Providence has tentatively reached a new contract agreement with Blue Shield of California. This new agreement would ensure many Blue Shield members have continued in-network access to their Providence doctors, clinics, and hospitals.

We understand how unsettling contract negotiations can be and appreciate your patience and support throughout the process. We are grateful that Blue Shield is committed to aligning with Providence to provide affordable care, accessible to members throughout California. We look forward to continued collaboration with Blue Shield and to serving our patients and California communities with exceptional health care services.

If you received a letter indicating you have been reassigned to a different provider, please call the phone number on the back of your member ID card and request that Blue Shield of California transfer you back to your Providence medical group provider.
